This is the second time this problem has arisen. Click on any event on my “Upcoming Events” page of thumbnails, and I get an error message reading “No Results Found. The page you requested could not be found. Try refining your search, or use the navigation above to locate the post.”

I saw a similar post in the forum that suggested:

    Hey Ronald,

If you head to Settings > Permalinks in your admin area, and click “Save Changes” without actually making any changes does any of this behavior improve at all?

This little trick will cause the permalinks structure on your site to refresh, which may help here.”

I did that and it resolved the problem. Thanks. However, how many times should I have to do this? I have no idea how long this was broken either the first time or this time, but I really don’t want to have to check it each day just to be sure. Any thoughts on fixing it so I don’t have to do this?

    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hey @photodb,

I’m sorry about your frustrations with this issue – can you share a link to your original first post about this issue?

Normally, if the “Save Changes” on the permalinks settings page fixed your issues, this is only necessary to do after you update a theme or plugin on your site, or update WordPress core – also, of course, if you change the rewrite rules or install something new, you may have to also do the same trick.

It should definitely not be a daily thing, or even a weekly thing.

Let me know if this helps!

Here’s the original one from the beginning of March: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/links-all-broken-on-my-upcoming-events-page/#post-945813

Hope that helps – I’ve just got to remember to check it more often as I seem to be updating plugins every week unfortunately.

Thanks for that link @Photodb – I’m not quite sure why your site would need this sort of change so often, but if it helps, I’m glad that there’s at least a temporary solution like this.

Best of luck with your site!

    George
