On the Events Calendar Settings page there are only 3 tabs: General, Display, and Help. In the primer video I see Default Content, Additional Fields, and Licenses as well. Without the Licenses tab there’s no place to enter the key.
I’ve deactivated and deleted both Events Calendar and EDD Tickets and then reinstalled and activated again, starting with Events Calendar. I still only have the 3 tabs on the Settings page.

Just an update on this. We’re still looking into this issue, as it possibly affects our other ticketing solutions so we want to make sure if we fix one, it doesn’t break something for another.
Hey Robert! Chris is out today, but I wanted to follow-up here to confirm that we’ve identified the issue here and have got it patched for our forthcoming build of EDD Tickets. Expect it to be fixed when you upgrade to the next EDD build (should be released very soon).
