    I have been using the free Events Calendar plug-in for one year and think it’s fantastic! Today, I added an event for March 2016 and found that the Calendar List View would not show this event even though the “Number of events to show per page” is set to 10 (Problem #1). I changed various settings and nothing changed, so then I saw that there was an update to The Events Calendar plug-in and updated it. The update did not resolve Problem #1 and created three additional problems The Events Calendar did not have prior to the update. Note: no other changes were made to the site except the update to The Events Calendar.

    Problem #2: When typing “Free” for the cost field, the following three warnings appear at the top of The Events Calendar page — which prior to the update was not a problem, instead “Free” appeared as the cost. I have since replaced the “Free” with a zero in the cost field and that eliminated these error codes. However, I would like “Free” to display.

    Warning: max() [function.max]: Array must contain at least one element in /home/content/49/11166049/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.php on line 296

    Warning: array_merge() [function.array-merge]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home/content/49/11166049/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.php on line 307

    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/49/11166049/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.php on line 309

    Problem #3: The Events Calendar List View description cuts off after one and a half lines. Prior to the update, I would add several lines of text in the Excerpt section and these lines would appear in their entirety in the Calendar List View description area. Now, they don’t.

    Problem #4: After clicking on an event from the Events Calendar List View to view the details of an event, all bulleted items are now way off to the left of the page, which they were not before. I’ve tried troubleshooting this and cannot correct it without removing the bullet list option.

    In addition to these problems, how can padding be added to the image and the top paragraphs so that they are not completely left-aligned and instead indent a little to match the text alignment of the rest of the page?

    I just purchased the PRO license and cannot find the section under Settings to enter the license code. Is there a way to convert my existing free Events Calendar plug-ing to Pro without loosing all my existing events?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    I have installed The Events Calendar PRO plug-in and entered the license number.

    Here’s an additional note about how the calendar displays the events…

    When I view first the Events web page, the Events Calendar displays incorrectly as described above. Then when I click “Next Events” at the bottom right of the page, a page displaying “There were no results found” shows (even though there is an event for March). I click “Previous Events” and the Events Calendar displays the way I would like it to display—including all dates (January thru March) as well as the proper multiple lines for the event descriptions. How can this be resolved?

    Thank you.

    Hi Mirja and thanks for reaching out!

    Sorry for the wait–we’ve had quite a backlog of threads from over the weekend and are doing our best to catch up. 🙂

    I added an event for March 2016 and found that the Calendar List View would not show this event even though the “Number of events to show per page” is set to 10

    Shoot, I’m having a tough time seeing this issue on my test site. Do you happen to have the same issue if you switch to a default WordPress theme. For example, let’s try the Twenty Fifteen theme and see if it pops up there as well.

    Problem #2: When typing “Free” for the cost field, the following three warnings appear at the top of The Events Calendar page

    Ack, sorry about that! We are actually aware of this issue and will be releasing a fix for it in 4.0.2 which should be out before the end of the month, barring any catastrophes. We’ll follow-up with you here in this thread when that releases.

    Problem #3: The Events Calendar List View description cuts off after one and a half lines.

    This is something else I wasn’t able to replicate on my test site using the default WordPress Twenty Fifteen theme. Please check this as well when troubleshooting the first issue of setting the number of events and let’s see if the issue surfaces there as well.

    Problem #4: After clicking on an event from the Events Calendar List View to view the details of an event, all bulleted items are now way off to the left of the page

    Try adding this to your theme style.css file, or using something like Simple Custom CSS:

    #tribe-events-pg-template .tribe-events-content ul {
    margin-left: 20px;
    }

    Tracking all of these questions in a single thread my prove to be difficult but let’s start here and see what we find. It might be worth doing a separate thread for each issue to make sure cover everything, but let’s give it a try here first. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hi Geoff, thank you for your reply. Brian assisted me with the first problem (I created a new thread) and it has been resolved. He provided a resolution based on the theme I am using which is Foxy by Elegant Themes.

    I just followed your instructions for fixing the bulleted list issue and it worked, thank you!

    So what remains to be resolved is Problem #3. Is there a fix based on the Foxy theme? As mentioned, there was no problem with this until I updated to the latest version of Events Calendar.

    Problem #3: The Events Calendar List View description cuts off after one and a half lines.

    Awesome, thanks Mirja! I’m so glad we’ve narrowed things down to one last issue.

    I do see you have another thread open with Nico on that very issue. For the sake of efficiency, I’ll go ahead and let you and Nico work on that together in that thread and close this one out to avoid crossing any wires.

    Please feel free to open a new thread if another question or issue pops up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Hey Mirja,,

    Great news–we have a fix for the cost field issue ready and it will be shipping today in version 4.0.2. Please keep your eyes peeled for the update and let us know if any other issues pop-up in a new thread and we’d be happy to help.

    Thanks again for your patience while we worked on this!

    Cheers,
    Geoff
