ParticipantDesde hace algún tiempo, al instalar alguna de las últimas actualizaciones, Facebook no me carga la imagen destacada del evento cuando lo comparto en la red social

MemberHi Pablo,
I’m sorry for the delayed response: unfortunately this topic slipped through our net.
For some time, when installing some of the latest updates, Facebook does not load the highlighted image of the event when I share it on the social network
I’m sorry to hear that. Are you finding this is exclusive to your events, or are all posts (such as blog posts with featured images) subject to this issue?
I believe the best way to handle this is to use the Open Graph protocol to specifically tell Facebook (and other platforms) which image should be used as the ‘featured image’. Some SEO plugins are able to add this for events as well as various other post types, so that could be worth a try here.
It’s not however something we support directly ourselves.
Does that help or at least clarify things?

MemberIt’s interesting, because I can see the og:image tag in the markup for your single event pages.
I do see though that the W3C validator is tripping up over a number of aspects of your page and is even reporting what seem to me to be false positives, such as “stray head tag”. It could be worth resolving as many of the flagged issues as you can, in case these are also causing problems for Facebook’s parser.

MemberSharing this privately in case you prefer not to expose your site’s URL publicly:
As a quick test, do you find the same problem occurs with only a default theme, our plugins and Yoast running (but with everything else disabled)?

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
