ParticipantI have a business license for The Events Calendar Pro, and my site url is connected, but I only have the normal Events List widget, not the advanced widget (with options and styling) as shown at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-the-list-widget/.
The widget had actually gone missing from the sidebar this morning, so I did recreate the widget from scratch. Therefore I don’t think it’s an issue of needing to drag a new List widget over (as mentioned in this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/not-seeing-advanced-list-widget-as-an-option-in-widgets-with-ecp/).
Thank you for your help.

MemberHi. Thanks for contacting us.
Sorry you experienced this and had to recreate it.
I’m not sure what your question is if you were able to recreate the widget. Please explain further if you still need help.
Thanks!

ParticipantThe widget on my site also completely disappeared and is no longer available in the Appearance > Widgets section. Was this an oversight, or was it removed on purpose?

ParticipantI can create a widget, but it is the standard Event List widget, not the Pro version.

ParticipantI found that the Events Calendar Pro plugin itself was not activated. And it looks like when you deactivate or activate it, any widgets that aren’t available with both the free and pro plugins are deleted. Is this an issue that could be corrected in a future release? I did not deactivate the Pro plugin that I know of, so am not not sure what triggered all of this.

ParticipantJust some more info, I checked the other site where I use EC Pro, and this error was on the plugins page:
The plugin events-calendar-pro/events-calendar-pro.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.
I checked the site files and what I assume was the pro directory is named theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-calendar-proversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4.0-ZGrmg7. This prompted me to go back to the first site and discover that its Pro directory was renamed as well.
Perhaps an issue with automatically updating plugins (I use Advanced Automatic Updates), or just a server blip when it was updating? I was able to activate the Pro plugin with the renamed Pro directory, but I downloaded and reinstalled the latest Pro files as well in hopes of correcting any lingering issues.

MemberThanks for the info.
We have since fixed the issue, but here’s what was happening in your case (before the fix): the automatic updater renamed the plugin folder, which caused WordPress to deactivate the plugin.
Whenever you deactivate the free or Pro plugin, those widgets obviously aren’t there anymore. When you reactivate the plugin, it should go back but may not have in your case (different plugin folder name issue).
I’m glad everything’s working for you again. Sorry about the inconvenience.
