Cannot update recurring event if first instance has ended

For some reason I am finding that if the first instance of a recurring event has passed, it is not possible to update the remaining instances. When I click update in the backend the loading icon just spins, the page hangs and none of the changes are made.

Hi Tony,

To get us started can you please confirm you are at the latest versions of all our plugins, have updated to the latest WordPress, have tried deactivating all other plugins to rule out a conflict and have switched to Twenty Eleven theme to see if you get the same problem?

This will help me rule out all the most common causes of these errors.

Can you also try editing the next event recurrence to see if that works for you? It doesn’t make sense to me the need to edit an event that has passed.
