    Hello,

I am trying to edit the verbiage of the event banner that has a countdown from “Next Event…” to “Next Gathering…”.

Any thoughts on where to do this?

    Many thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for using our plugin.

The best way to change the text there would be to follow these guide:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-word-events-to-something-else/

You can use that to change the word event everywhere or just target that phrase.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Thanks

    Hi Brian,

Thank you for the input. I am a novice with respect to digging into the code behind the WP. Can you give me further directions on exaclty what needs to be posted, where, and how to access the PHP files?

    Many thanks,

The coding goes in your theme’s function.php.

You can use the WordPress Editor or a text or code editor to edit the files.

WordPress has this guide on editing files that might help out:
