ParticipantI just installed TEC 3.5.1 and PRO 3.5.2 fresh onto WP 3.9. No themes installed. I created recurring events for a couple of venues. When I try to view a single event I get a 404 error. The URL becomes http://www.mountain-view-music-scene.com/2014-04-29 which does not conform to my Permalink format in WP (I left it at default). I re-saved the Permalinks as suggested in another thread but no joy. Any suggestions?

ParticipantSome further info: I was able to edit single on another of the events in the series and it successfully separated itself from the series and displayed as expected when published. So the issue seems more to be that I could not separate the first event in the series, even though the indicators showed that it would be.

ParticipantI just trashed then rebuilt the recurring series. It took several tries to remove the events even though they were produced as a single recurring event. I tried to Edit Single one of the events and I could not get the event to separate from the recurring series. I still get a 404 when attempting to view the selected event’s details.

ParticipantI trashed the new series again. About 5 of 100 remained on the events list. The edit options for trashing showed Trash rather than Trash Series. I was able to Edit Single and Publish one of the events and was then able to view the event as desired.
I hope all these narratives help solve the problems with 3.5.2 and the recurring events.

ParticipantHowdy dchaney,
Sadly we currently have a bug in our plugin that does this when permalinks is set to default. It’s embarrassing 🙁 and something we are fixing ASAP. In the mean time, can you try switching to anything but default? In addition to being fully compatible with our plugin, the other styles have tons of advantages including improved SEO for many folks.

ParticipantI enabled another Permalink style and all seems to be working OK. Thanks!

ParticipantAwesome! I am glad you were able to switch. We will get the other fixed soon, but I doubt you will care as you are now undoubtedly on a better permalink style.
Please open a topic if you have any future questions. Thanks!
