    Hello,

PROBLEM: My new Event Aggregator license is not being recognized. I’m still prompted to renew the old license.

    DETAILS:
I originally tried the Event Aggregator plugin when it was in beta, and was given a license at that time, which expired once the beta period finished.

Today I purchased Event Aggregator directly on your website, totally forgetting about the renewal option for the original beta license I still had on my account. The new license purchase went through fine, and in fact in Events/Settings/Licenses it’s recognized, and I see many new options in Events/Settings/Import as well.

However, under Events/Import, the import features are still greyed-out and I’m prompted with renewing my old license.

On the “Licenses” page (on your website), I now have two Event Aggregator licenses listed. One expired, one paid. The paid one is connected to my website, and the old one is disconnected.

Update: It looks like the 2nd tab in Events/Import is functional. I am able to control and run imports on the old pre-existing import I had setup in during the beta.

However, the problem still exists where Events/Import (first tab) does not recognize my new license, so I’m unable to create new imports.

    Hi, Kalle.

    Sorry you’re experiencing this.

Is it working for you now? Sometimes it can take the licensing system some time to recognize new licenses.

If it’s still not working for you, please provide any screenshots or video screen captures you think would help me better understand what’s happening.

    Thank you.

    Hi Cliff,

I took a second look today and it seems that I CAN create new imports.

However: the renewal message still persists at Events/Import, even though I have a valid license in Events/Settings/Licenses. Perhaps it’s harmless, or will there be a problem somewhere else?

On a side note: The initial drop-down menu “Select Origin” has a greyed-out appearance which to me communicates “Nothing to do here, you must first renew the license!”, even though inside the drop-down there are potential actions to take, licensed-or-not. During this bug affair I neglected to click that drop-down thinking it was disabled (ie greyed-out), only now discovering that I have full functionality there.

    Attached are screenshots.

I have tried deactivating then activating both TEC and TEC Pro plugins.

Kalle, I’m glad you can create new imports now.

I checked your license and I don’t see anything wrong with what you’ve got entered. Maybe try clicking that “Save Changes” button in the Licenses tab and see if that does something, otherwise it looks correct to me.

That gray color is from this CSS rule — https://cl.ly/1k3V3z112B2l — from this file: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/vendor/select2/select2.css

So it’s direct from the Select2 library we use to create those drop-downs. I think it’s meant to communicate that the currently-selected choice (the default) should not be your final choice before moving forward.

I hope this helps in some way. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
