ParticipantHello Modern Tribe Tech Folks:
I am trying to publish events with Tickets Plus features and after I get everything entered, put in the Ticket information, which includes a bunch of registration fields (age, gender, etc…), I click on publish and it just sits there for several minutes before I get a time out error. This worked really well a few months ago, but clearly is not working now. Funny thing is that the event does appear under the list of events in the admin portal, but defaults to today’s date and no time. So I can’t see it i the calendar in the website, like I did before. I also get a “Page not found” error if I try to preview page before I publish. I have continued to update the Event Tickets and Calendar Pro software, so they are current. I just don’t understand how this was working and then stopped. I have not added any new plugins. In fact I have turned off all plugins and still no publish.
I am hopeful you can help me with this rather quickly.
Thank you for all of your help so far.

ParticipantHello Again MT Folks:
A quick update. I have discovered that the event only times out when I save an Event Ticket with it. If I do not do an Events Ticket, then it publishes just fine. I did try and go to one that did publish and then add an Event Ticket later, but no luck. I deactivated Events Tickets Plus and then deleted it and loaded a new one fresh v. 4.7.2. Still not able to publish with Events Tickets attached. I had a lot of Ticket Fieldsets I created several months ago that I would hate to lose. I have even tried to load without Fieldsets, but still times out. Definitely some conflict with Calendar Pro and Events Ticks Plus, I think.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ParticipantHello Again MT Support Folks:
I have done even more investigating and testing and have fallen on the issue. Under Event Settings>Ticket Settings, their is a a series of check-boxes for Post Types that can have tickets. The only Post Type that was checked, and that I had been using all along had been “Event”. All of the rest were unchecked. I went ahead and checked “Post” and then everything started working. Can you tell me why “Event” doesn’t work anymore? And why do these matter anyway (I am still relatively new with this)?
Anyway, I am working now, but am interested in more information.
Thanks for help on this.

MemberHey Ronald,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m sorry to hear about these issues you’ve been experiencing.
Regarding the “Post types that can have tickets” option: If you are creating tickets only for events, enabling the Post option won’t affect/modify the existing functionality.
If you experience the timeout issues again, I would recommend you to setup a staging site and temporarily replace your theme with another one like Twenty Seventeen to check if there’s a conflict. It’s also possible that there’s a server limitation causing the timeout, specially because the issue persisted even while having all other plugins deactivated.
I would also recommend you to contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase the max_execution_time in php.ini. As I can see from your system info, your max_execution_time is set to the default value: 30s, but if your site has a lot of plugins/processes running, it’s probably a good idea to increase it.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and Iād be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
Patricia

ParticipantHey Patricia:
I just found it very odd that the publish consistently failed with only “Events” checked, but worked beautifully when I checked “Post”. Everything seems to be showing up as it should on the website. I cannot understand what changed that would timeout the publish with only events checked.
Thanks for the advice on upping my max execution time. I will call GoDaddy here in a bit.
You guys are wonderful to work with. Thanks for your help.
