need help with user name for pre existing installation

I am working on a website that has a pre existing installation of the events pro plugin, but the license has not been renewed for quite some time. I have a license number, but the user name I have does not work. do the user names expire? Should I just set up a new events pro account or is it possible to reactivate the old account?
