Need help with plugin

I’m trying to utilize the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified to individually feature 3 event posts at a time on my home page. It works wonderfully – except that I would like it to pull the event meta (date, venue and cost) in addition to the title and content.

I tried using the shortcodes in the “post info” box within the amplified widget, but all that does is print a list of all my events on ONE of my featured posts and then breaks the other two. I’m wondering if there is a way to achieve what I’m trying to do and if someone here could guide me. Considering the PRO version of your plugin for the site, but since I’m having trouble getting the events to display the way I need them to, I’m hesitant to spend the money on it right now.

Hello Tracy and thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately I might not be able to help you out much with this issue. The Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin is not our product so we don’t provide support for it. Also as I have checked, that plugin hasn’t been updated in the last 5 years (!!!) which is not really a good sign.

However, with our PRO plugin you will get the Events List widget. That one you could set up to show 1 event from a certain category or with a certain tag. Or show only featured events. And simply add the widget 3 times to the widget area. Here’s a screenshot of the widget settings.
