Need Featured Image to show in Events Feed

I’m using the http://www.domain.com/events/feed url for an RSS to Email campaign in mailchimp. I would like the event’s featured image to show in the campaign email but since it does not appear in the feed mentioned above, it doesn’t show in the email. If I insert an image into the event post it shows in the feed and consequently the campaign email, but that seems like wasted effort. Any ideas?

Unfortunately that level of customization typically goes beyond the scope of the forums.

However with a little coding, this blog post should put you on the right path https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-add-events-to-your-rss-feed/

Look at the second half of the post, where you add start date/time. Replace that information with ‘the_post_thumbnail()’ instead, and it should work.

These are only high level tips, you’ll need to do some troubleshooting. But if you have questions that are in the scope of the forum I’d be happy to help!

Hi Casey and thanks for the response. While the method shown on the link https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-add-events-to-your-rss-feed/ can work I found another way of getting the featured image of any post to show up in the feeds.
