Need all these features to be accomplished?

I have a client that needs many options and I haven’t found a plugin that will work for all. It’s a platform tennis camp with 2 sessions of lessons offered per day on four courts. Listing the options needed might be better than trying to explain, I also have a pdf.

1. Players need to register for 3 hour Sessions in calendar or list form in groups of 4 on 4 courts per day.
2. I need availability shown for the 3 hour sessions for each day and for each court.
3. Players need to be able to purchase multiple sessions during registration.
4. Players need to see who is registered, for each session, and the availability of sessions and courts.

For example:

Wednesday
Session 1 – 9:00AM – 12:00PM
Court 1 is booked with 4 players
Court 2 is booked with 3 players
Court 3 is booked with 4 players
Court 4 is booked with 4 players
When I go to sign up I can see that I can book court 2, session 1 on Wednesday from 9AM – 12PM. BUT I also want to sign up and pay for other sessions during the week.

I hope this isn’t too confusing, but this is what I need and I’ll purchase whatever plugins I need to accomplish it.

That’s not too confusing at all — great job explaining everything you need. 🙂

I am afraid, however, that our plugins will not be the best fit for your project. The Events Calendar (and it’s add-ons) are great for calendaring but not specifically designed for booking appointment slots with availability.

You might want to consider a plugin that is designed for booking. There are actually quite a few in the WordPress.org plugin directory that offer this and here’s an initial search that pulls up some interesting results.

Right on and thanks for following up to confirm. I really am sorry our plugins aren’t the best fit here but I do hope you’ll keep us in mind the next time a project comes up that needs an awesome calendar. 🙂
