I have a client with a WP Site that needs to integrate a Shopping Cart that will allow the following:

They will be selling Workshops that can be categorized by Date/Time on a Monthly View Calendar.

When someone clicks one of the Workshop dates – it would forward to a Product Page that will link to the shopping cart featuring the designated Workshop with the following attributes:
    (Purchaser selects from the following)

    1) Workshop Sign Design (Text Box to Type in the Name of the Sign Design)
Note: (There are approximately 100 Designs for the purchaser to select from that are categorized by size (Small, Medium, Large, Ex Large & Custom)

The client would like for this Gallery to be featured on 1/3 to 1/2 of the Product Page with it’s own navigation so they can scroll through the designs without having to go to a separate webpage. Site currently uses EnviraGallery which I believe can be setup for a Side Widget; if not do you have a recommendation for this option?

If that isn’t available maybe including a slider for each category would work? Open to suggestions.

    2) Pricing – Dropdown or buttons for purchaser to select Sign Design Size. Up to 5 Prices for S, M, L, ExL, Custom)
Note: Would like to be able to limit the number of workshop spots by size but this isn’t critical.)

    3) Optional Text Box for purchaser to add Optional Personalization for Custom Sign Design which would include, family names, dates, initial, etc.

    4) Purchaser includes their name, address etc.

    5) Client used Paypal Pro for their Merchant Account.

My client’s website is brushstrokesbymaryanne.com. She currently has an online store (Pinnacle Cart) for the subdomain store.brushstrokesbymaryanne.com but it doesn’t offer the features she needs as described above. (Her web theme is Story purchased on ThemeForest.) I will probably use the Divi Theme to setup the new subdomain however that isn’t a requirement – would be open to using a different theme based on your recommendations.)

I am setting up a separate subdomain for workshops.brushstrokesbymaryanne.com with a woo commerce shopping cart to offer these workshops. Here are some similar sites that offer the same type of workshops but their shopping carts and selection process is very difficult to follow.

    Hello Pamela,

Thanks for getting in touch with us! Wow, that sounds like an amazing project there! And you got some good questions. Let me try to answer them for you.

Out of the box you will not be able to achieve all that with our plugins, but with some customization that should be manageable.

What you will definitely need is:

For the following functions are beyond our plugins:

    • Text Box to Type in the Name of the Sign Design
    • Pricing – Dropdown or buttons for purchaser to select Sign Design Size
    • Optional Text Box for purchaser to add Optional Personalization

For these you will need WooCommerce and probably an add-on like WooCommerce Product Add-Ons.

Would like to be able to limit the number of workshop spots

You will be able to do these when you set up the tickets for the events.

Client used Paypal Pro for their Merchant Account

WooCommerce has a built in PayPal payment gateway. (Actually now Event Tickets Plus does too – yeay – but since you need extra functionality provided by WooCommerce you will need to use that.)

The client would like for this Gallery…
    …maybe including a slider

This will likely depend on your theme (Divi is quite good) or an extra plugin to handle these.

For what you have described, selling tickets with all the options might be best done through the WooCommerce product page. (When a ticket is created for an event, it will automatically create a matching WooCommerce product as well. This is needed for all the magic.)

In this case this article will be helpful to you: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/selling-tickets-from-the-woocommerce-products-page/

I hope this answers your questions. If you have more, just let them come, I’d be happy to answer them for you.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
