Navigation not listing current page for Events page

I’ve got my menu setup to use the Event Calendar Page and an add an event page from the community plugin. When I am on the Events Calendar page the nav item is not highlighting and the current-menu-item class is not being added to the menu item.

On the add event page the current element works just fine. Any idea whats going on here?

Are the things I’m describing and that are in that screenshot the things you mean? If not, what specific pages are you on where the menu item is not highlighting, and what specific menu item should be highlighted when the user is on these pages?

Thanks George. I resolved the issue.

The problem was with the way my menus were set for the events page.

To get it to work I removed the events page menu item, deleted the empty “Events” page I had created in WP and then added a custom link called “Events” to the menu. WordPress figured the rest out from there and the navigation works fine now.
