I set up a monthly Calendar on a website for my client about a couple of weeks ago, and everything was working very well. The url is http://thesevenfoldstudio.com/WhiteBarn/calendar/

This morning, I went to the Calendar page of the site, and the calendar is gone. I don’t recall if some kind of shortcode is needed. I haven’t changed any of my settings of added any new plugins, so I don’t think it’s a plugin conflict. I can’t figure out how to get the monthly calendar to reappear.

Your help in getting this calendar to reappear would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the issues.

The Calendar is located at this url:

    http://thesevenfoldstudio.com/WhiteBarn/events/

It is possible to change it to the url with calendar.

First delete and empty the trash for the Calendar Page.

Then go to the Events > Settings > General Tab

And change the events slug to calendar.

Let me know how that works out.

    Thanks

I can’t see any way to make a new topic, and your support forums just lead me around and around in circles. It’s like you guys don’t really want us to ask you any questions.

I’m having a similar problem and would start a new topic if I could find a way to do so.

I installed the event calendar, tweaked a few settings, and the calendar page disappeared. I can’t find it, I can’t recreate it, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled both through the WP dashboard and by deleting the plugin files.

Please respond. Like I said, there’s no way for me to post a new topic, so I’m posting a reply to this one.

Northern Pacific Digital, sorry for the issues you are having.

There are plenty of ways to post new topics on the forums, sorry you are unable to find them.

Here is a direct link to the Pro New Discussion Form if you are logged in:

    Events Calendar PRO

Also in any of the customer forums there is a New Discussion Button to take you to the form that looks like this:

I saw that new discussion button. Funny part is – it doesn’t work.

When I hit the new discussion button, it just takes me to the bottom of the page.

How about some help with the issue I actually posted?

I installed the event calendar, tweaked a few settings, and the calendar page disappeared. I can’t find it, I can’t recreate it, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled both through the WP dashboard and by deleting the plugin files.

Yep, new discussion button just scrolls me back down here. There’s also no item in the menu to post a new issue, nothing in the footer, nothing in my profile – absolutely no visible way to post a new support issue whatsoever.

A really cool place to put a link to a new topic would be the words “go ahead and make a new topic” in the “Leave a reply” box.

Also, fix the “New Discussion” button so it actually leads to a new discussion.

Also, under “My Support Threads”, you could put a big blue button that allow us to start a new thread. There are tons of places that functionality should be, but isn’t.

As for your site what is the url for the page having issues?

I have a bunch of questions to see if we can narrow down what happened.

    Event Slug

What is the event slug for the Calendar on Events > Setting > General Tab

    “Events URL slug”

    “Single event URL slug”

    Events Template
Have you tried changing the Events Template in the settings?

    Head to this page:

Events > Settings > Display Tab

    Then change this setting:

Events Template to Default Page Template (or change it back)

    Views

And what are the views you have active and that settings page? (month, week, map, etc)

What is the default view? If you change that does the events show?

    Form Issues
Sorry for the form not showing, this is the first report we have seen of it. Does nothing show? What browser are you using? If you use another browser does it show?

This is what the form looks like for your reference.

I got the plugin fixed. The blue button on the top right that says “New Discussion” just scrolls down to the dialog box I’m typing this in now.

I haven’t been able to find any other button to use to create a new issue. As I posted earlier, a link or button to create a new issue should be located in the following places:

Link the words “go ahead and make a new topic” in the “Leave a reply” box.

Fix the “New Discussion” button so it actually leads to a new discussion.

Under “My Support Threads”, there should be a big blue button that allow us to start a new thread.

Glad you were able to fix the issue.

So if you go to this link:

    Events Calendar PRO

Click New Discussion there is no form there? That is strange as that is the first report of this on the new site, which has been live for two months. I apologize if I keep asking, but I want to make find out what for you only that form is not showing.

I will forward the suggest to add links in more places for the next round of improvements to the site we are working on.

    Thanks

Yes, that link works. At the bottom of the list of all the issues in the forum, there is a new issues form.

While I was looking for my solution, I NEVER SAW THAT PAGE. Every single issue has a “New Discussion” button on it, but it only goes to the bottom form, which, on each individual issue, IS A REPLY FORM.

Ok glad at least that form is there for new topics for you.

I like you ideas about the links around the site and changing the wording of New Discussion on the individual topics could reduce some confusion too.

I am creating a ticket to work on improving this on our site.

Since your issue is resolved and there is nothing I can do today about changing those links I am going to close this ticket.

If you need anything else related to this topic or another please post a new topic on the forum and we can help you out.

    Thanks
