When I receive the QR code with the ticket via email, I am able to scan it with a QR reader with no problems. However, unless I’m already logged into my website’s wp-admin, the check-in does not occur upon scanning the QR code. I would like to have multiple people greeting guests with tickets. It is not practical for all of them to be logged into wp-admin. Is there a configuration setting that allows individuals to check in guests without the individual having to log into wp-admin?

    Hey there

So sorry this didn’t meet your expectations. You could create a user account for each of your checkers, or 1 for them to each share.

https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-qr-codes-event-tickets-plus/#create_qr_user Can walk you through this.

If you think that skipping logging in is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.

You can suggest it it http://tribe.uservoice.com.

The trick programmatically is devising a way that anyone with a QR code reader doesn’t also check guests in. I do believe we have a QR code app proposed, but nowhere near ready to release yet.

    Thanks
    Courtney 🙂

    Hi,

I like the suggestion of creating a user account for the checkers. I implemented that suggestion and tested it. So far, it looks like it will work for us. Thanks for the quick reply.
