ParticipantHi All,
I have The core events calendar installed and have purchased community events as well… I was just about to upgrade to pro but I see a message in my account here at tribe events that I need to buy a multisite licence…Although I have 10 sites on my multi site the events calendar is only being used on one of the subsites and it will never be used on the other sites.
http://turismograzalema.com/ is my main site carrying all the other sites…
http://turismograzalema.com/quehacerenlasierradegrazalema/ is the dedicated event site… (events calendar only used here.)I installed the event calendar through network admin because I seem unable to add a plugin via one of the subsites.
I’d like to go ahead and upgrade to pro as soon as possible.
Is there a way to disable the event calendar on the multisites that aren’t using it?
Thanks

MemberHowdy Clive,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll help you here…
We have an article in place that gives an overview of our Multisite License. Basically is not necessary to have a multisite license if you are activating the plugin in just one sub site.
Is there a way to disable the event calendar on the multisites that aren’t using it?
Yes. Install plugin in network admin as usual for multisite, but do not “network activate” the plugin, then go to the individual site and enable the plugin for that site.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,

ParticipantHi Nico and thank you for your reply.
I already have the Event Calendar installed and network activated even though its just being used on 1 site.
My question is if I network deactivate now, will I lose the events I already have loaded? Or when I reactivate it on just the 1 site will the events still be there?

MemberHi Clive,
Thanks for following up! You should not loose any information by network activating or deactivating the plugins. If the information is not showing up for you after the change then just go back with it, but activating/deactivating our plugins wont change information in the database.
To add an extra layer of peace of mind you can do a quick backup before changing this.
Please let me know about it,

ParticipantHi Nico thank you for your help.
I have network deactivated the event calender and then activated on just 1 subsite… All working fine.
I still have the red warning message here in my account at the event calendar telling me I need to purchase a multi site licence…. Do I need to do anything to correct this or will it update itself.
Once that is cleared up i will go ahead and upgrade to pro…
Thanks

ParticipantHi,
I have purchased and installed the pro version of the eent calendar. I have also entered the license keys for both pro and community events. The plugin is not network activated and is only activated at this URL
http://turismograzalema.com/quehacerenlasierradegrazalema/When I added the license keys in wordpress adming i still got the message that I am on a network and need to upgrade to multi site license… Will this correct itself or do I need to disconnect and reconnect in my account here at the events calendar?
Thanks for any advice

MemberHey Clive,
Thanks for following up and glad to hear you could set this up!
You can try to disconnect / reconnect the license but I’m not sure if that will help. I couldn’t find this logged as a bug but I’m mostly sure that’s something not working as expected on our end. Does this limit you in some way? Or is it just the notice showing up?
Please let me know about it,
Best,

ParticipantHi,
I have marked this topic as solved. The warning in my account here about multi site has gone now so I guess I will get auto updates when they are released. Thanks for your help with this topic Nico and I hope that it is of use to other people setting up the events calender on a multisite set up but only using it on 1 subsite…
Thanks again
