ParticipantI have events that will be duplicating in the future – same class but different dates. We will also be offering the same tickets for each class. Like military discount, standard, group…. I would like to create the tickets once and use them over and over. Is that possible?

ParticipantHey Kristen,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We unfortunately don’t have that built into the plugin as an option currently, however it is a great suggestion that we’d love to look at on our UserVoice page.
However, you can take a look at the post duplicator plugin and see if it will work for your needs here. The tickets are built as products in WooCommerce so you would be able to see them there and duplicate there. The only thing you may have issue with and may need to change, would be the ID for the associated event. The duplicator would most likely duplicate with the original event ID and that would need to be updated for the new event that you’re hosting.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantI do have that plugin and it does somewhat work but I’m trying to avoid the thousands of tickets. Each event has 4 to 5 tickets and if I have to duplicate that each time it’s going to be a lot. That’s a big bummer. I have to try and find a work around.

ParticipantHey Kristen,
That definitely does sound like it would be a difficult situation to manage. Unfortunately, the way our system works, each ticket is associated as a single product.
There are some options that you could pursue that may help managing this a little simpler.
- If your tickets are always the same, you could create a function to have them created automatically whenever you create a new event.
- You could manage the tickets a little more quickly within a spreadsheet and then import them into your site.
I won’t be able to give you complete code solutions for any of these, but if you were interested I could work to get you pointed in the right direction here.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantYes could give access to this information? That would help some.

ParticipantHey Kristen,
Sure thing! To start, here are some links to the functions that will help you get this accomplished.
Here is also a quick snippet that breaks down some of the basics of how this would work. You would need to do some customization to make it work properly for your needs.
