Multiple event types?

    I run a small community organization that holds various committee meetings and public events. Each type has its own requirements:

    Meetings:
    We have a number of different committees. Most, but not all, recur monthly (although an individual recurring meeting may still need to change dates due to holidays, etc.). Each monthly committee meeting has a default time and location which can also occasionally change. Ideally, selecting a particular committee would pre-fill time and location with the relevant information.
    Committees post agendas, draft minutes, approved minutes, financial reports, motions, and a varying number of other attachments. Again, ideally these are named fields in the meeting admin.
    Meetings may be marked as canceled.
    Meetings may have additional short comments as well (e.g., “Meeting will be rescheduled until next month.”) that should appear in the calendar listing.
    Ideally, board members should only have permission to edit their own specific committee(s).

    Events:
    These should have a different (and more simple) admin page.
    The usual information here: date, time, location, short excerpt, long description, PDF attachments. We don’t issue tickets or charge admission.
    At times, we post events that other people are running. In those instances, we just need to provide a link to their page.

    Holidays:
    Just need to enter recurring holidays that carry over from year to year.

    iCal Publishing:
    I’d love it if people could subscribe to our calendar.

    Is that something the plug in can do? If not, could we hire you to modify the plug in?

    Doug thanks for the interest in our plugins.

    We only have the Events with Venues and Organizers, which you can try in the core version for free on WordPress.org:

    The Events Calendar

    As for the meeting features we have no way to separate those features into something called meetings. Everything is run through the events.

    With the event content editor you can add all the information you need for an event.

    With Pro you can have recurring events.

    If you are looking for people to have control over just their events you could use Community Events to have them submit their meetings or events from the frontend and then they would be able to make changes later to only events they created.

    As for a cancel feature we do not have one, but we do have a way for people to subscribe to a event or a view of events through iCal or Google Calendar you can see that as well in the core version.

    We are also not available to hire to modify the plugin. We do have a list of developers in the knowledge base that could help out.
