ParticipantOn my Events Calendar: http://www.frugalphillymom.com/events-calendar/ I have several reoccurring posts that are appearing multiple times however the URLs for all the duplicates are the same. When I try to edit or just completely delete the posts I get a 500 Internal Server Error. At this point I just want to completely delete the posts and I cannot seem to even do that. Any ideas?

ParticipantHello frugalphillymom,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
This is definitely a strange issue to be having and I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. To start, let’s work on trying to get the duplicates deleted.
- <span style=”line-height: 13px;”>Deleting items is a basic WordPress function. Do you have the same issue when trying to delete items from other post types (posts, pages)? Try following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if you’re able to delete items with a default install.</span>
- If the issue persists, try contacting your hosting provider about the server error. It could be that your site is exceeding the processing supported by your current hosting plan.
For the initial cause of this problem, the events duplicating in the first place:
- <span style=”line-height: 13px;”>Does this continue to be a persistent issue for all recurring events?</span>
- Do events duplicate the same way when they’re created while you’re in a “clean slate” state after following the Testing for Conflicts procedures above?
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

ParticipantI am having a similar problem at jamaicaplainnews.com. I use the Community add-on and oftentimes in the process of approving recurring submissions, somehow the system creates two series of recurring posts. Like frugalphillymom, the URLs are the same. This happens a lot. Thanks for any insights!

MemberHi jamaicaplainnews,
Sorry for the issues you are also having. Josh is out today so I am taking over here. I can certainly help you out here, but we can provide better support for you if you post your own ticket and we can then help you one on one instead of another ticket.
No worries, though we will help out either way.
So are you using Shared Hosting? Does is happen as certain times of the day or when your site has heavy traffic. It sounds like the system is not completing the event creation due to a timeout and then starting again. However, that is just my initial impression.
Does the it help when you do what Josh suggested ?

You can reply here if you like or create your own ticket and reference this one so frugalphillymom does not get pinged everytime we post here.
Let me know.
Thanks
