Multiple Calendars or "Main" Listings Pages

Hi,
We have installed the Events Pro plugin on our site at http://cultmontreal.com/events, and it’s working very well, so thanks!

However, while our current events are short-running, in nature, a one-night concert, or a three-day festival, we also have listings that span weeks, or even months, such as art gallery shows, or cultural exhibits.

And because these long-running events would always show up at the top of the main listings page, it would appear to readers that new events never get added (unless they scroll way down the page – seriously, people don’t do it…).

So my question is: Can we implement two separate instances of the Events Calendar, or is it limited to only one Calendar. I realize we could exclude certain categories from the main listings page, and only link to them directly, but this seems less than ideal, since we have several categories of long-running events.

If anything, all we really need is a way to have two separate “main” listings pages, one for short-run events, and one for long-run events.

Hi Phil,

The plugin is limited to only one instance but you could setup your own custom queries on any other page for any events you want. You can do this using tribe_get_events() which is documented here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/the-events-calendar-template-tags-general-functions/#functiontribe_get_events

Other than that you would need to separate and filter things out via categories.
