GuestHi,
Looks like a great plugin.
Requirements for an impending project (on n existing site using WooCommerce) include…
— Different admins being able to post/edit events
— Events being categorised (with search by category)
— Paypal account to receive moneys to be set on a per event basis (would woo adaptive payments plugin be needed?)Also does is work with WooCommerce coupons?
ThanksJanuary 17, 2016 at 5:29 am #1057285Neil
Guestoops, pressed submit too early…
My question is, does Woo Tickets support the above requirement?
Thanks

MemberHi Neill,
Thanks a lot for reaching out and for your interest in our products 🙂
Before answering your questions, let me mention that we have two new plugins for adding tickets for events: Event Tickets (adds basic RSVP functionality) and Event Tickets Plus (add the ability to sell tickets though different e-commerce platforms, including WooCommerce). WooTickets is now a “legacy” plugin and we do not recommend it’s use for new websites. That being said let’s jump to your questions:
Different admins being able to post/edit events
Sure it’s possible!
Events being categorised (with search by category)
Yeap, the events post type comes with an event category taxonomy to categorize events. This means there is a category just for events! While categories have a specific page that lists all events under it there’s no specific search by category. That’s not a feature included by default, but something you can build with a bit of custom coding for sure.
Paypal account to receive moneys to be set on a per event basis (would woo adaptive payments plugin be needed?)
Our plugin just creates the tickets (as Woo products), but the checkout itself is handled by WooCommerce. I’m not familiar with the woo adaptive payments plugin, so not sure about it. If it let’s you set a PayPal account per product I guess it should work well for tickets.
Also does is work with WooCommerce coupons?
As stated in the above answer, our plugins just creates the products and adds the ability to add them to the cart from the event page. This means the checkout (including coupons) should work as expected with other products, so summing up: yes coupons should work.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions about my answers or any other doubts I can help you with,
Best,

GuestThanks Nico
Looks like this could work nicely for us. I’ll check with Woo re adaptive payments.
Thanks

MemberGlad to hear Neil!
One thing I forgot to mention is that you can go ahead and make a purchase of the products to try them out. If you feel it doesn’t work well for your project you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, that might be the way to be sure about it.
I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but if you need help with anything else please don’t hesitate to create a new one and we will be happy to assist you.
Best,
