    Hello,

Is the Events plugin translatable in multiple language for a same site (ie.French & English)? If so how does it work?

    Hey Carl,

Our plugins are fully translatable using the basic methods of translating a WordPress installation—if you’re not familiar with how to do this, I would recommend researching online for “How to use WordPress in another language.”

I would also recommend reading these three knowledgebase articles that cover how to translate our plugins specifically:

    • Translating The Events Calendar: http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/translating-the-events-calendar/

    • Translating our premium add-ons: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-or-updating-a-translation/

    • Changing the language on your site: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-language-on-your-calendar/

    Cheers!

And how do I prevent the slug from changing into the selected language.
The site is a multilanguage site in English, French, Spanish and Dutch.
The main (WordPress) language of the is Dutch.
Changing between list view and month view works in Dutch and English (slugs ….shows/month and ….shows/maand)
But when French or Spanish is selected (….shows/mois or …..shows/mes in the slug) page is not found!
How can i prevent the slug from changing?

    Hey fons,

By default the slug will NOT change into a different language. If you are using a plugin like WPML, this may be happening, but we do NOT support WPML completely and do not support multilingual slugs at this time.

    Hi Fons,

You might want to consider using the plugin “Redirection” where you can redirect the URL to another URL using regex. Pretty great!

    Goodluck,
    Dirk
