ParticipantHi,
I understand the the multi-day event cutoff applies to the calendar view… however, I have a problem, in LIST VIEW, where last night’s Nightclub listings are appearing as upcoming events, presumably because the event finishes on the next day (ie. 11pm friday – 3am saturday).
Does anybody know a quick way around this (eg. only display events past 5am today?)
Cheers,
Billy

MemberHey there Billy! Thanks for the note. If I understand your issue correctly, it sounds like the discussion starting in this thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/multiday-event-cutoff/#post-13676) would be able to get you pointed in the right direction.
Can you confirm as much, and if so whether that solution does the trick? If not I can bring a dev in on our end. Thanks!

ParticipantNo help there, I’m afraid.. Even on my simple plain vanilla twenty-eleven wp test server it’s displaying last night’s club…

MemberHey Billy. Thanks for confirming as much. I’m actually not seeing any events on that page; mind setting one up for me so I can take a look? I’m thus far unable to recreate the issue on my environment (which is a very similar setup), so it’d be helpful to see it in action again if possible. Thanks in advance!

ParticipantHi Rob,
If you take a look at this page, http://yellozoo.com/events/, you’ll see upcoming events start from yesterday 30th May. Obviously, if you click on that event you get the “this event has passed” msg.June 1, 2012 at 12:19 pm #20052Rob
MemberAlright, I think I understand the issue now Billy – thanks for confirming. I’m wondering if this has something to do with your timezone settings, as I’m running a very similar setup (even down to the theme) and do not see this on my end. If you can let me know what is set under Settings -> General regarding the time…I can try to recreate myself and get fixed as needed. Thanks!

ParticipantHey there,
The timezone is UTC +0. I also set another installation with my own city as the timezone (Dublin) and this has no effect – it still shows yesterday’s club night’s first. ( http://www.littledesign.ie/wp3/events/)

MemberAh, thanks for confirming William. I just reset my time zone to match your settings and re-read the thread, and I am indeed seeing this. It looks like there is a bug in the code…thanks for bringing it to our attention.
We’re shipping the 2.0.7 update today, which may fix this; but otherwise I’ll make sure the patch for what you’ve noted here is included in next month’s maintenance release (which should be 2.0.8). I apologize for any inconvenience in the interim and thank you for the heads up.
If we can do anything else here please let me know.
