MemberI was really pleased when I saw the “Multiday Event Cutoff” setting, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Mine is set to 4am, but an event that starts on Friday at 9:30pm and ends on Saturday at 2:30am still shows up on the calendar grid for both Friday and Saturday.
Also, it would be nice if events that end before the cutoff time would return “false” to a tribe_is_multiday() call, which doesn’t seem to be the case now.

MemberHey Joe: thanks for the feedback. I just tested an event with the same criteria you’d noted and the “Mutliday Event Cutoff” was working fine; can you resave your permalinks and check again, then send me a link to where I can view this if the issue persists?
I’ll check with the devs re: your second request…sounds reasonable, definitely. If it wouldn’t cause any issues we’ll get that integrated for 2.1.

MemberThanks Rob. I just gave the event a lightly different permalink, saved it, and it’s still showing up under both Friday and Saturday on the calendar. See here: http://pco.la/events The event in question is the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

MemberWeird – I am indeed seeing the issue. I may need to get into the backend of your site to check this out; if you’d allow it, please send me a set of credentials to rob at tri.be (along with a link to this thread for reference) and I can look into this further.

MemberThanks Rob. Do you need wp-admin access or FTP access?
December 5, 2011 at 8:14 am #11834Rob
MemberJoe: wp-admin access would be fine for now. We’ll get to FTP if we have to 🙂

MemberJust a heads up that since Jonah was perplexed by this too, I’ve got it on another dev’s plate. Should be receiving a response very shortly – my apologies for the delay.

ParticipantCould be a timezone conversion issue — what is the timezone of the server, and what is the timezone setting in WordPress?
WP-Admin access would be helpful, FTP access would be great as I could run some tests to determine the internal state of the dates/times in question to try and find the source of the issue.

MemberNick: I have WP-admin access, per a previous email from Joe. After he responds regarding the timezone and you’ve had a chance to digest that, let me know if you need the creds and I’ll send them your way.

ParticipantHmmm… I can’t replicate it locally (even when changing the timezone setting) so it must be something specific to a plugin/theme installed.

MemberHi guys, thanks for checking up on this. I can’t remember for sure, but it’s possible that when I first created the event, the end time was earlier than the cutoff time — i.e. I moved it to 4am after the event was already created. Could that cause this issue?
December 12, 2011 at 3:16 pm #12168Rob
MemberHey Joe. It’s possible that was an issue in 2.0.1, but I just tested in 2.0.2 and when I changed the cut-off time after publishing an event, that change still took effect. Might this issue have resolved itself with the 2.0.2 upgrade? If not, have you tried re-creating the event with that same criteria to see if the issue persists?

ParticipantHi Paul, can you be more specific about the issue? What event in particular are you seeing it on? Can you please email WP admin and FTP access to jonahcoyote [at] gmail [dot] com so I can take a look at things?

ParticipantHi Johan, I’m sorry I missed your reply and was hoping the upgrade would resolve this issue. Unfortunately it hasn’t.
Here are a couple of links to events where it isn’t working

http://www.gethiroshima.com/event/new-world/Can you manage with just WP admin to start off with? Will send that through WP.
Thanks.
