    Hi,

I’m not sure when this started happening – sometime in the last few days. Facebook events that are multi-day events are now showing up as multiple individual events. I have one event that goes from January to June, which now fills my calendar with hundreds of single day events: https://www.muskokachautauqua.com/events/

Same thing is happening on this site: http://www.artsinmuskoka.com/events/

    Not good.

I was about to buy this plugin for another site but am holding off until this issue is fixed.

    Hi Jen,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first troubleshooting step, would you mind providing me with the Facebook URL that you are trying to import, so that I can run some tests on my end?

Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Thanks Jaime.

The Facebook URL for the first site is https://www.facebook.com/MuskokaChautauqua/.

The second site (artsinmuskoka.com) imports events from that page, and also from these two pages:
    https://www.facebook.com/MuskokaPlaceGallery/
    https://www.facebook.com/gayledempseyartist/

    Hi Jen,

Thanks so much for providing me with those URLS.  Unfortunately, this is linked to a known issue where recurring events do not import properly from Facebook.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.

I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.

They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.

The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.

Thank you for your patience as we see this through.  Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

OK… Well, this is NOT great news, as I have two active sites that use this plugin as a main feature. I was just about to start a new build using the same plugin, but in light of this major issue as well as others I’ve experienced when using it, I’m actively looking for an alternative solution.

Considering that this is a premium plugin (and not a cheap one), the number of issues it has, and the amount of time it takes to fix them, is totally unacceptable.

    Hi Jen!

Just wanted to share with you that we have shipped a fix for this issue. It’s all on our Event Aggregator server side of things so you don’t need to update any plugins.

As always, please make sure you are using the latest versions of our plugins. Remember you can always download our plugins from your downloads page > https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we worked on this.

Please try your imports again and let us know if the fix works for your site.

    Best,
    Victor

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
