Moving license key away from production site

Hello,

We have a managed WordPress site at GoDaddy that’s about ready to go live. GoDaddy provides a staging WordPress instance and production WordPress instance. The staging URL is formatted like this: xxy.xyy.myftpupload.com. GoDaddy and WordPress don’t allow the staging URL to be changed, so when we update/test Events Calendar Pro, Filter Bar, and Community Events after go-live, we plan to follow the steps at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys to move the license keys for these plugins to staging, and then move them back to production after updates/testing are complete.

Question: When we remove the license keys from production (for the purpose of updating/testing the 3 plugins on staging), will the 3 plugins continue to function on production while the license keys are pointing to staging? Will any part of these 3 plugins break or have limited functionality on production?

When we remove the license keys from production (for the purpose of updating/testing the 3 plugins on staging), will the 3 plugins continue to function on production while the license keys are pointing to staging?

Everything will continue to work perfectly.
The only important consequence is that you will temporarily loose the ability to access auto-update of these plugins while the license key has been moved.
