GuestHi,
Thinking of moving to Events Calendar Pro.
1. Do we need to do anything with the Events Calendar plugin already installed or do we just install Pro,
2. Is there a trial period?
3. Is the a simple Duplicate option?
4. Finally what is the price in £’s?Thanks.

MemberGood morning Richard and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.1. Do we need to do anything with the Events Calendar plugin already installed or do we just install Pro,
Pro extends the Events Calendar plugin, it does not replace it.
This means that you simply leave the existing plugin in place and add Pro on top of it.
2. Is there a trial period?
All of our products offer a 30 day refund policy. So I guess the answer is yes 🙂
Speaking of which, please reach out to us if you have any questions during the setup phase.
3. Is the a simple Duplicate option?
There are quite a few plugins that handle post duplication out there.
For that reason, we did not include that feature built-in.Basically any plugin that supports custom post types (events are a custom post type) will work.
There is event one out there made specifically for events: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-tec-event/4. Finally what is the price in £’s?
That will most likely depend on the exchange rate on the day of your purchase.
All of our products are available in USD only at the moment of writing.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

GuestThanks for the responses Geoff, answers my questions, thank you.
My only concern with the duplicate-tec-event plugin – which I have tried out – is that it isn’t tested with the latest vsn of WP and hasn’t had any work done for over a year. I’m very very nervous of using plugins that are robust. I’ll pop over to the user request area and post it there.

MemberGood afternoon Richard,
Thank you for writing back.

I totally understand. That being said, nothing has changed in a long time when it comes down to duplicating custom post types.
This is why there are no recent updates for this plugin.
Additionally, as stated before, there are several custom post type duplicators out there.
Perhaps, you will prefer the following one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-duplicator/You are welcome back in our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great weekend!
