Moving events in GCal creates duplicates in Events Calendar

Anytime I update an event in GCal (to add more info to the description or move it to a different date, the event shows up as a NEW event in my Events calendar.

In Event Update Authority, I have marked “Overwrite my event with any changes from the original source.” and Google Calendar is set to “use global settings”

Please help!

If you are also setting the import status to ‘Draft’ (as seen here), there is unfortunately a bug which duplicates events upon reentry. I don’t see any temporary workaround other than changing the import status, so if that’s possible give it a shot and let me know if events still duplicate.

I’ve added this forum thread to the ticket which helps expedite the process of getting a fix included in an upcoming release. I don’t have a precise date when it will be available, but please stay tuned to our Release Notes and the plugin changelogs for more information.
