Hi there. I tried searching the knowledgebase and forums but couldn’t find anything.

I am hoping to rebuild my website which the calendar is on. To do this I usually clone it to a subdomain, rebuild the site and then clone it back to the original domain. The only problem is the calendar will continued to be used and updated during this time so it won’t be up to date on the final product.

Is there a way to export / import the calendar? Or move the calendar on it’s own?

    Thank you.

    Hi, Janice.

A full site backup of the files and database should be just fine.

If you want to export just the data from our calendar, you can use the native WordPress exporter for Events, Organizers, and Venues post types. However, this sort of exporting would lose the settings in the wp_options table.

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

When I use the native wordpress exporter, it provides a file in XML format. However, importing an XML file is not allowed for security reasons.

    Thank you

OK, I think I figured it out 🙂

I was trying to import the XML file using the aggregator plugin.

It works using the native WordPress importer.
