ParticipantI have a project running with Events Tickets Plus, Event Calendar Pro and Filterbar-Plugins.
What I need is now a possibilty to integrate the Searchbar with the Filterbar on my Homepage. Therefore I need to have the code in a specific template in my theme.I already found this snippet which works a bit:
tribe_get_template_part( 'modules/bar' );But it only shows the form without styling and without function. 🙁
Could you please help me with this?
It would be life saving! 😉March 7, 2016 at 10:19 pm #1086153Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Vivianne and welcome back!
As discussed previously, the scope of our support is mostly to get our wonderful customers started on the right track to customize their site and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization 🙁
Currently, there is no simple way to integrate the complete calendar on the home page of the website.
It used to be possible with the use of a plugin such as Event Rocket, but alas this plugin is no longer supported since version 4.0.
You might still want to grab a copy to draw inspiration from it.The good news is that we are currently working on providing our users with a shortcode to embed the full calendar on the page of their choice. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!
In the meantime, some of our users have decided to redirect their home page to the calendar page as a temporary solution.
Finally, there’s always the option to hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThanks Geoff for your answer.
I think I wasn´t clear enough with my question:
I don´t need the whole “events” – site on my homepage. I only need the search bar (with the filter bar).
Best would be, if the “submit” – button would have a link on it to the “events”-site.
As I wrote, I almost got there but without the submit-functionality and without styling. It would be great if you could help me out.

MemberGood evening Vivianne,
Sorry about the misunderstanding.
As it turns out, part of my answer is still valuable. Event Rocket had some similar features available.
You might also want to check out the following post: http://gregorypearcey.com/blog/add-tribe-events-search-bar-home-page/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantThis works great, Geoff! Thanks a lot!
The only thing which doesn´t work is the filterbar.
How can I add the filterbar to this? I tried to insert the code from the file filter-view-horizontal.php in my homepage but this only shows the filter controls.
I only the category-filter. Is there a chance you can point me in the wrong direction?
I´m almost there… 🙂Greetings from germany!

MemberHey Vivianne,
Awesome! I’m glad that worked for you.
Adding the filterbar is a bit trickier and unfortunately out of scope for our support.
I would advise pursuing one of the following:
- Download and study the Event Rocket plugin to see how core the Events Calendar functionalities were integrated on pages outside of the normal Tribe views: https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-rocket/
- Take a look at the following function: https://theeventscalendar.com/function/tribe_init_filterbar_autoloading/
- Hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Greetings back from Canada 🙂
