    Hi TEC,

I have noticed a Move option on each ticket in the attendees list. I’m not sure whether this is new, but it’s a great feature, as customers often ask for tickets to be transferred.

The only problem is that it sends an email to the attendee when i transfer a ticket.

The issue i have is that it comes from ‘WordPress’ and the email doesn’t look on brand.

How can I edit this? I am not a developer so would need a simple and easy solution please. I don’t need anything fancy, just some basic text tweaks, change sender name etc.

I have attached a screenshot of it on mobile. As you can see, it doesn’t look very nice.

    Thanks so much

    Kam

    Hey Kam,

There are plugins available in the WordPress repository that can help alter the information you’re referring to. I believe Easy WP SMTP might do the trick, so give it a shot and let me know how it works out. You might also want to do some general Google searches on altering WordPress emails.

Another recommendation is to review this article on WooCommerce’s template documentation. The order confirmation email is contained in WooCommerce rather than our plugins.

The ticket email can be modified by:

    • Create a copy of the template. It is located in /event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php
    • Make a new folder in your theme called tribe-events
    • Make a new folder in that one called tickets
    • Add the copied email.php file to that last folder

Now that the template is in your theme, you can modify it to suit your needs and the changes will be reflected. Please refer to our Themer’s Guide for more information. If you’re a visual learner, this Customizing WordPress #1 – How To Create A Child Theme by LevelUpTuts YouTube video might help.

I know this all seems insurmountable, but rest assured it’s fairly simple and just takes a little practice. Let me know how things work out and best of luck. Cheers!
