Mouseover Preview (Tooltip) in Month View not displaying since upgrade to 3.5

Overall the upgrade worked seamlessly for us. But we’ve noticed that there is no longer a pop up tooltip when you mouse-over an event in Month view (our default view) – though we do notice that the box for that date now animates. I can see the tooltip js code in Firebug, but for some reason it’s not displaying. I use The Events Calendar + Pro on another site and the mouseover works fine after upgrade. I have isolated this to a theme conflict as I disabled all other plugins and the problem remained.

The tooltip works perfectly in week view.

I’ll raise this with the theme developer, but was wondering if you have any recommendations for me to fix this? It worked perfectly before the upgrade.

Thanks for getting in touch! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. In version 3.5, we changed how the tooltip template works. We’re now using Javascript templating for all of the tooltips. So, if you’ve performed any template overrides related to the tooltips, then you’ll need to copy over the new template files and make your modifications to the updated template files.

Hopefully that points you in the right direction, but let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! 🙂

I’m currently seeing that you have a ‘tribe-events’ directory in your theme, which is overriding the default template files: http://eventnation.com.au/wp-content/themes/sympathique/tribe-events/

Try updating those files and see if that resolves the issue. Thanks! 🙂
