Monthly reoccurring events, how to set by day not date

When I set reoccurring events which are monthly my Calendar PRO tries to post subsequent events on the same date rather than the same day of each month. For example, if I post and event on the final Thursday of the month, and it is on the 28th, your plugin then shows the following events as occurring on the 28th of the the following months, not the final Thursday. How do I set monthly repeats to appear on reoccurring days rather than dates?

Use a custom event pattern:

• Below the start/end date/time fields you’ll see a dropdown labelled Recurrence … select Custom
• Enter the date of the last instance in the chain of events
• Set the frequency as Monthly – Every 1 Month(s) on the Last Thursday
