ParticipantOn the Monthly view for my calendar:
http://arts.stanford.edu/events/
Is there a way to have days with more than 3 events, have a show more feature? To be able to click and see all the events for a day? Simply increasing the number of events to display higher won’t work, as some of the days have up to 15 events. Also, the “Find Events” submit button isn’t working on any view. I have attempted upgrading to the most recent version 3.8.1 in a dev instance as suggested in my earlier thread: https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/month-view-show-more/
However, this has not fixed either problem.November 13, 2014 at 4:37 pm #883217robertde
ParticipantI was actually able to get the “Find Events” button working (there were two instances of jquery loading).
The “Show More” link is still not working, however.

MemberHello,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help out here.
First, the Find Events is working now, correct?
So it is just the Show More Link having issues.
Do you mean the link for each event that says Find Out More >>
If not could you let me know exactly where it is not working.
I did look at my console on your site and getting this error:
“NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://arts.stanford.edu/events/js/bootstrap.min.js”
Not sure if that is related to the issues.

As Geoff explained here there is a link that will appear after the limit is reached.
Do you have a day in the Month where it is more then 3 events, but that View All Events is not showing?
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
Thanks

ParticipantHi Brian,
I am talking about the “View All Events” link for days with more than 3 events. The majority of the days on my calendar that are at 3 events actually have closer to around 8. http://arts.stanford.edu/events/
I fixed the “NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://arts.stanford.edu/events/js/bootstrap.min.js” error. In the theme template there was a second load of bootstrap.min.js that was unneeded.
Thank you for your assistance!

MemberOk I see now. Sorry for the confusion on my part.
It is not showing the View All Events link, because it requires the Day View to be active. Without that it does not have a view to show the events on.
Please active the Day View on this page:
Events > Settings > Display
And enable day for this “Enable event views”
Let me know if that works.
Thanks

ParticipantThat was it! Between the second instance of jQuery loading and needing Day view to be active, everything seems fixed now!
It sure would be nice if there is some warning on the Admin Settings screen about the importance of Day View for both Find Events and the month view “View All Events”.November 14, 2014 at 10:44 am #884823Brian
MemberI am glad to see all the issues are fixed.
I agree we could use a better explanation of that as I did not even know about until I read it in the coding. I will bring it up and see about adding a message.
Since the issue is resolved I am going to go ahead and close this ticket. If you have a similar issue or another in the future, please do not hesitate to create a new ticket.
Thanks!
