Month View not working with Themify Builder

Hi there,

I just purchased Events Calendar Pro so that I can use the shortcodes to to display the calendar on my site running the themify ultra theme.

I need to use the shortcode within their page builder. However when I paste in one of the month view short codes it breaks the page builder, when I disable the events calendar plugin, paste in the shortcode and then re-enable the calendar plugin it breaks the page. I have reached out to Themify but as other shortcodes work fine they are saying it is an issue with event calendar. I see this behaviour with all other plugins except themify and Events Calendar disabled.

Other views aside from the month view seem to work.. They display output, the month view works if I use it outside of the pagebuilder but this isn’t an option for my site. However any of the shortcodes I place show an unstyled output. You can see this at the below link, note that I have left the site running twentyfourteen with all plugins aside from events calendar disabled so you can see the output.

My goal is to get the monthly view (the same on that is displayed on my events page http://tbw.nondestructivetesting.ca/workshops/) embedded into one of the themify builder pages. It seemed like this was possible from reading your shortcode docs but I’m not sure if I mis-interpreted.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your thorough report.

Could you please provide us a copy of the latest version of the Themify Builder plugin for us to try to replicate on a fresh install with Twenty Sixteen theme?

With Twenty Sixteen, it seems the Builder plugin worked just fine.

I created a new page, dragged a Text module to the bottom, put [ tribe_events ] (without spaces) and, since Month View is my testing site’s default View, it worked just fine: https://cl.ly/3N161B162Q3S –> https://cl.ly/1K381G1t1k2I

That was all done via wp-admin version of Builder plugin.

When I activated the front-end part of the Builder plugin just one time (I didn’t even make any edits), these WP_DEBUG messages were generated:

I’d suggest sharing these with the author to fix.

Then I activated the Themify Ultra theme and didn’t make any edits with the Builder and it was still displaying just fine: https://cl.ly/2c2x1z163n1M

Thanks Cliff,

I hadn’t thought to use the builder on the page edit screen, that will get me where I need for now and I can go back to Themify regarding the errors.. Thanks for the info on those.
