ParticipantHey there,
I need help determining the origin of a theme conflict with the 4.0 update. It’s installed on the development site provided.
We use the Genesis framework and the Education Pro child theme. When the mobile calendar kicks in, event markers appear in the calendar but clicking on a day does not display that day’s list of events. (We also use the Category Colors plugin, and when it’s activated, the event markers do not appear on the calendar.)I tested it on Twenty Fourteen and it works normally there. It also works on an old Genesis child theme we previously used, but not on our current theme nor the Genesis theme itself.
Our live site is still running 3.12.6 and displays the month view correctly on mobile devices:
http://www.yourmdl.org/events/I’d appreciate any help in figuring out what is preventing the event list divs from being generated.
Thanks,

ParticipantHey Rob,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
To clarify, the mobile calendar worked fine with your current theme with the previous version of the plugin (3.12.6). However, when you updated to 4.0 the mobile calendar no longer worked as expected with your theme?
It sounds like there might be a javascript issue at play here since the date isn’t getting passed to that list section below when a date is clicked. You can see this in part as well since the heading for that section just says “Events for” rather than also including the date there.
I’m not seeing any javascript errors on the site but am able to replicate on a plain Genesis site as well. Will run this by one of our developers to see if he has any thoughts or direction that he may assist with.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks, Josh. Your clarification is correct. Our live site is still running 3.12.6 and the development site is running 4.0.
It would seem that the “Events for…” issue is separate because that occurs on the live site too. But maybe they are related (and obviously it’d be good to fix that too).
Anyway, looking forward to hearing what your developer says. Thanks again.

ParticipantHey,
Just wanted to follow up here real quick.
I did some test by rolling back some of the changes to the mobile javascript code to see if I could pinpoint exactly where the issue cropped in. I was able to correct the “Events for…” issue by doing this, however with a default Genesis theme wasn’t able to get the list to display.
Will follow back up after hearing back from one of our devs.
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks, Josh. FYI, I updated the dev site to 4.0.1; that fixed the “Events for…” issue, but the list is still not being displayed.

MemberHi yourmdl,
I believe I found the issue and this snippet added to your child theme’s functions.php will fix the issue.

This resolved the issue on my test site, let me know if that does it for you.
Thanks
