ParticipantI recently changed the default mobile view of my calendar from month to list. But now when I go to my event page on a mobile device, I can’t change to view to anything else.
I need the default view to be list, but still retain the ability to change it to month, week, or day.
Staging event site is here:

MemberHi Marcella
Can you send a screenshot of what you are experiencing?
I visited your site and was able to toggle views: https://cloudup.com/cTbsL2pXBE3. I was using Chrome’s mobile emulator for this test. https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/device-mode/
Thanks

ParticipantYour screen shot doesn’t show it being toggled from list view to month view.
FYI, if you start Chrome’s emulator and don’t reload the page, it still shows the month view (which is the default view for the desktop calendar, NOT the default view for the mobile calendar). If you reload while using the emulator, it starts in list view and won’t toggle to any other views. A screenshot won’t really explain what’s happening so I’ve taken a video from my actual phone, far more reliable than the emulator.
So steps to reproduce:
1. Load the page.
2. Launch the emulator.
3. RELOAD the page.
4. Try to toggle from list view to any other view.March 24, 2018 at 7:01 am #1487689Marcella Alexander
ParticipantHi Courtney.
Any ideas why this is happening? I’m hoping to have this sorted out soon, so I can apply updates to the production version of this site soon.

MemberHi Marcella
I do see now that it happens when going from /events to /events/list and back to /events/month on your site. I am unable to reproduce this with our demo site http://wpshindig.com/events.
Can you tell me if the same thing happens with all other plugins deactivated and while using a default theme, such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/?
Thanks
Courtney ๐March 26, 2018 at 3:15 pm #1489021Marcella Alexander
ParticipantIt does still happen with all plugins deactived and the theme set to twenty seventeen. I’m leaving all other plugins turned off and twenty seventeen active so you can see the behavior.
On your demo site, it doesn’t look like you have default mobile view set to list, which is where I think the issue is coming from. To reproduce this error on your demo site, please go to Events -> Settings -> Display and choose “List” as the default mobile view. I think you’ll find that it will do the same thing my site does.

MemberHey Marcella
When you go to Events ยป Settings ยป Display ยป Default mobile view, what do you have that set to?
Thanks
Courtney ๐March 28, 2018 at 6:46 pm #1491234Marcella Alexander
ParticipantI have it set to “List.” I’ve said this multiple times. Can you please escalate this issue to someone else. I realize communicating this way isn’t always the easiest and I don’t want to offend you, but you’ve repeatedly not read my replies closely enough to actually understand the issue and repeatedly asked for information I’ve already given you.
And by the way, I am not actually Marcella. Marcella is my client who pays for this plugin. I’m her developer, James. Please do not send any direct emails to her. If you need to contact me directly, please email me at [email protected].

MemberHey James
We actually are limited to using the email account on file with the account that you’ve used to post to the forums.
Please know, we take each request seriously. We often check in with other team members for additional tests and suggestions. I have had a few others look in to this case.
That said, I now can reproduce the issue and have submitted it as a bug report. You will be notified here when we address the issue.
Until then, my best advice for a workaround is to remove the mobile view being defaulted to list mode.
We will keep you posted on the bug progress.
Thanks
