ParticipantI have 38 venues published, but suddenly when adding a new event I can only access the 4 most recently published venues; all the others are missing. Don’t know what happened, as it’s been a month or more since I added a new event.
I can add a new venue, but I don’t need to, as the venue I want is already there, somewhere. The Events > Venues admin show all 38, but I can’t use them when adding a new event.

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues adding venues to your events. I will try to help you get this sorted.
I’ve seen a few other people saying similar things, but I have not figured out what is causing this yet.
Could you possibly provide a database dump of your site? You can read about doing that here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database
There are a few plugins listed there that should be pretty easy to use for this.
If you can load that to a file sharing service like dropbox, and post the link here, that would be really helpful.

Thanks so much for providing that!
We have discovered at least part of the problem with this, and are working hard on a solution.
It seems that only venues and organizers that were created by your user are showing up when creating an event.
As a temporary workaround, you can visit and resave and organizers or venues to get them to be attached to your user account when you go to create a new event.
I have attached this thread to the bug ticket, and we will follow up with you here to let you know once we have released a fix.
