    Hi,

there are a lot phrases that are not translated like:
    “Upcoming Events”, “Photo”, “Week”
Furthermore the wordpress date format is ignored by the plugin. Our wordpress is adjusted to show proper German date and time format and events calender pro ignores them.

Thank you very much for a fix or a solution to help ourselves (PHP programmer here)
    Best Regards
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for your note. I suspect that those untranslated phrases you’re seeing are due to outdated translation files. I’ve uploaded the latest German translation files for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO here. You can download those and put them in the /lang files for each plugin. I believe that should fix those. Please make sure you’re running the latest version of each plugin first.

There are a number of places that The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO do not use the WordPress Date Format settings. We are working on making those totally adjustable so they will be international-friendly. However, at this time they are not changeable. Thank you for your patience while we improve our localization features!

    Best,

    Leah

    Hi Leah,
both plugins are the latest (3.5.1 and pro 3.5.2).
Great the German strings are now translated. The lang files were missing in the the-events-calender plugin at all.
There is still the issue with the dates on the event they are displayed as:
    “Mai 1 – Mai 4”
In Germany and other European countries it should be “1. Mai – 4. Mai”
You should add some field in the admin area to adjust this to clients needs, as you already do for the currency. Can you tell me in which file and line the date is rendered? For now I can hack it.
    Kind Regards
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,

I’m glad to hear that corrected the translation issue!

As I noted above, we are working on making a setting for the date formats so that you can change it to the European style. We hope to have this done for one of our next upcoming releases, so it will likely be available for you soon.

I’m afraid I can’t help you with hacking it- the date formats are widespread and complicated, and we don’t have a way for you do to change it yourself. That’s part of why we are prioritizing putting in the setting, so that this won’t be an issue. Thank you for your patience while we work on that.

    Best,

    Leah
