ParticipantHello,
I’ve followed the steps in order to affiliate a contributor role to an event planner but in his front & back-end dashboard the “checkin” row is missing.
So he cannot check in users by scanning their QR code only me as an admin can;
How can i fix this ?Best,

KeymasterHi Sami,
Thanks for reaching out again!
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site! What steps have you followed to set this up? Would you mind taking some screenshots of your setup so I can try to replicate things on my test site?
Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantI’m having the same problem. I created a WP user account for checking in tickets usinging these instructions (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-qr-codes-event-tickets-plus/#create_qr_user) and when I log in as that user, there is no check-in column on the attendees page, nor is it an option in the Screen Options. But when I log in as full site admin, I see the check-in column on the attendees page and the check box in Screen Options (see attached image). It’s really important that our on-site employees be able to manually check in attendees if the QR scan doesn’t work. Is there a way to have this column show in the non-admin login? Thanks. 🙂

ParticipantSame problem.
What capability should we associate to the Organizer’s role?

ParticipantHello,
I followed these intructions (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-qr-codes-event-tickets-plus/#create_qr_user), i’ve set the event planner as a contributor but as you can see in the screen he doesn’t have the checkin row.
As an admin it works but not as a contributor.February 7, 2018 at 10:12 am #1446591Jaime Marchwinski
KeymasterHi Sami,
Thanks for providing me with this information. I have set up a new Contributor role on my test site, and these were my findings:
The button to the right on the Admin screen does not appear for the Contributor role.
However, if you go to Bulk Actions > Check-in, you can select users and check them in, achieving the same results.
Although this looks different than the Admin screen, it still checks in users.
Let me know if you are seeing the same results!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantThanks for your answer but it is not user friendly for the event planer.
Plus, the checked in status at the top does not update instantly in the front-end.
It takes like hours, which is bad, because event planners cannot estime how many participants were checked in right after their eventsFebruary 8, 2018 at 1:51 am #1447348sami bekas

KeymasterHi Sami,
I’m glad that at least the functionality is working as expected for you. Unfortunately, that is the way that it is designed for the Contributor role at this time. You do have the option to create a new Admin user for the person checking people in, so that you see the Check-in box on the side.
You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!
