missing add-an-event option

Hi,
Just upgraded to current event calendar – however the only option under ‘Events’ on the left menu is ‘Event Categories’ nothing else – its missing ‘add an event’ etc.
Running current wordpress verision, wp-zoom magazinium theme – I have uninstalled all other plugins and it didnt help.
Note:
– I have been using tdo mini-forms to allow users to add their own events
– I also tried installing event calendar pro which resulted in a white screen in the backend
– having tried migrating once, the event posts successfully migrated, however they were not visible in the backend and were only visible on the calendar view in the frontend
Suggestions?

SOLVED – I wasnt running the latest version of wordpress!
