ParticipantHi There – I put in a ticket 5 months ago about the events calendar mini calendar nor working on our site and we have been unable to determine why after going through your suggested checklist of possible causes. We are using a template from Template Monster with Cherry 3.1.5 platform. We have been through the plugins one by one and cannot find one that when deactivated fixes the problem. Here is the link to a page where we have the mini calendar installed. When you click on the month advance >>, you will see the ajax loading icon just spins and spins. http://yes.dragonflymediaarts.com/services-view/exhibit-show-management/
Can you take a look and perhaps you will be able to tell me what the problem is, in case someone has had this issue before. Otherwise, please let me know what you need from me to troubleshoot. Thanks so much for your help. This is the one last thing to fix before the site goes live and of course the client is anxious…

ParticipantProblem was the theme Cherry (not child) was calling jQuery 1.7.2, really old, and the events widget was using a function parseHTML, that is not in the old version. Changed includes/theme-scripts.php, commented out three lines near top of file that registered and enqueued the old version. Added <script src=”https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js”></script> to the themes header.php.
My friend, a developer, figured it out. Thanks.
