ParticipantHi, I’m a recent pay user and I’ve noticed that my mini-calendar is not displaying correctly and I believe it is because my events often go past 12:00AM (midnight) and spill over into the next day. I’ve set the “End of day cutoff” to 2:00AM, but should I be entering 2:00Am on the SAME day as the even end time, or should I (correctly) be indicating 2:00AM on the NEXT day? The main calendar seems to display the events that go past midnight as “slightly spilling over” would like to avoid that…

MemberHi davecfraser,
Thanks for getting in touch. We’re pretty swamped in the support forums right now after the release of Events 3.0, so response time may be a little longer than our usual 24 hours, but we will do our best to help out.
You’re correct that you should be entering the true date and time for the event, for example Fri. the 12th @ 8pm to 1am on Sat. the 13th. I tested this and was able to reproduce the same issue. I’ll make a ticket for our developers and hopefully we can get this fixed in an upcoming maintenance release. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
Thanks for your patience,

ParticipantHI Leah,
Thanks for the reply! Can I go ahead and start entering all my dates (over 60) hoping that this issue will be resolved shortly or should I hold off in case they have to be re-entered.
ALSO one more problem to report: when you click on individual dates on the month view of the calendar it’ll take you to a linke such as http://www.incomefrommusic.com/pianoplayers/events/2013-07-20/ which is a 404 error.

MemberHi Dave,
Good question. I don’t know how soon this will be fixed, but the fix shouldn’t require you re-entering your events, unless you are entering them differently now because of the issue (for example, if you were entering them now as only going to 11:59 to avoid the problem.) But still, that wouldn’t be a big change, so there’s no big reason not to add your events.
For the other issue, have you tried resetting your permalinks and checked for a plugin conflict? Those would be the first steps to troubleshooting. If you want to keep things more organized, you’re welcome to start a fresh thread for this subject- it’ll make things a little easier if we need to get a dev involved, and for other people with a similar problem.
Thanks,

ParticipantOk, how do I reset my permalinks or check for a plug in conflict?

MemberHi Dave,
To reset your permalinks, go to Settings –> Permalinks in the dashboard. Double check that the Default setting is not selected- it should be any of the other options. Whether you need to switch it or not, hit the save button. That will reset your permalinks.
To check for a plugin conflict, you’ll need to deactivate all plugins except The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. If the problem persists, you know it’s not a conflict between our plugins and another. Then we can go from there. If the problem goes away, you can start adding back plugins one by one. When the problem reappears, you know that’s the plugin that’s conflicting. Similarly to check for a theme conflict you just switch to one of the default themes (like Twenty Twelve) and see if the issue persists.
Those are the three main first steps to troubleshooting an issue like this. Let me know how that goes and we will continue from there.

MemberHey there,
I just wanted to let you know that a fix for this issue is included in our upcoming version 3.3. Keep an eye out on your WordPress Plugins page for an update. Thanks for your patience while we worked on this!
