ParticipantHi, I’ll defeintley not run any updates in the future without testing this exact issue: I can’t seem to remember which version didn’t have the issue, so I’d love to either fix it, or find the old version that works, or fix it and know why so I can continue to apply the fix. The next and previous buttons just reload the page # or do nothing. They used to work It’s possible a conflict with PageBuilder? Some update to the current version? I have a test site up at http://aiascv.sa-creative.com with exact same credentials (and if the theme is put back to parabola2, and plugins are re-enabled, it’ll be an exact match, but for testing I turned most things off and changed theme to TwentyEleven.

MemberHmm, it’s hard to say. I do see that the widget appears almost as if it is a part of the page rather than in a sidebar – is that due to Page Builder, do you know?
Do you find it works as expected if you position it in a regular sidebar?

ParticipantIt worked great for many months, and yes, it’s due to page builder, which allows you to place widgets anywhere you want. On the main site I even re-uploaded the current versions, and I suppose my next task is to try installing all the old versions one by one until I find the one before it broke. I was hoping someone who knew how it worked better might have some insight. on the test site, I’ve tried moving it all over, and still can’t get it to work.

MemberLooking in the changelog for Events Calendar PRO I wonder if the 3.3 release was the “culprit”, in which case you might try 3.2. However, I would stress we cannot provide support if you choose to downgrade your support (or at most can provide very limited support). Remember that you would also need to revert the core plugin (The Events Calendar) so that the versions match.

ParticipantSending it back to 3.2 did fix the problem. Which part of your “upgrade” cause the issue do you think? I will try to get ahold of the theme developers or whomever else may be able to change their systems to work around yours if need be. Or do you think that change may be fixed in a later release so I can start updating again?

MemberWell, I used quotes around “culprit” because we made a number of improvements to the widget in 3.3 (prior to that we were not in a sense being good citizens of the WordPress environment with regards to a few functional details) – I just had a hunch that this might have been relevant in your particular case. I don’t think this is something where we would revert those changes are they impacted negatively on other users.
I definitely sympathize with your position, but from our perspective this looks like an issue exclusively tied to use of the widget within Page Builder – whereas when inserted via a sidebar there is generally no issue (and that of course is how it is primarily intended to be used).
I hope that makes sense and would recommend working with the theme authors further in this situation.

MemberHi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
