Migration from Event Espresso to The Events Calendar

A client is currently using Event Espresso 4, but is unhappy with their product as they do not support basic functionality such as recurring events and gift certificates. However, they have hundreds of events and registered attendees already in Event Espresso. Is there a reasonably straightforward way to migrate Event Espresso events and attendees to The Events Calendar?

You can migrate all of your events over to Events Calendar PRO by using WordPress Export Tools, after which you can import your events back onto your site.
