When I click on the nav bar and go to the pages where the events calendar are, the menu does not highlight and the breadcrumbs are not working. I have this plugin running on two sites currently with two different themes.I get the same issue with both. The second site that I have this running in is http://rinconvalleychristian.org/psp/.

I just checked out both of your sites, and unfortunately, I am not able to see what you’re referring to on your site.
With regard to breadcrumbs, since this is a very theme-specific customization, we can’t really tell you how best to proceed–especially as many people have different opinions as to how breadcrumbs might be structured so there’s no real one-size-fits-all here.
If you get in touch with your theme developer and she/he has any questions for us, we’re very happy to help, but beyond that, I’m afraid that there isn’t much we can do.
