ParticipantI have a site with a custom theme using the Events Calendar Pro and since updating to the latest WordPress and versions of the above plugins I have now lost the wp_nav_menu’s on the Events List and Month pages only. It is fine on the actual Event page.
I am also experiencing issues with the select menu on the filter box. That no longer changes page.

ParticipantAlso, just to clarify I have changed the permalinks and this has made no difference

MemberHi Jen,
Sorry for the delay – we are here! – but do note that right now we may not be able to respond within 48hrs (as per the notice at the top of the forum pages).
Can you clarify if you are using the Default Page Template / Default Events Template and let me know what theme you are using (and if it is based on any particular framework, or a customization of an existing theme etc)?
Were you additionally able to isolate this to specifically being an issue with your theme (ie, there isn’t anything else such as another plugin conflicting)?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Barry, thanks for the reply. This site has to go live this week so if we can just get the one issue left sorted that would be amazing and then I’ll leave you in peace!
So I hired a developer to help with the menu issue, that is all sorted now. All I need now is that select/dropdown on the filter box to work. The one that switches between map & month views.
I’m using a custom theme built out of HTML5 Boilerplate Theme with skeleton styles and default events page template and I seem to be having the same issue no matter what theme i use. The

MemberDefinitely. Can you confirm if you created a new thread for this (you don’t have to, I just don’t want to duplicate efforts if someone else is already helping with the view dropdown issue) and can you also confirm that you are indeed using the latest version of the plugin?
I know you noted as much when you created this discussion – but my memory was that this very problem was resolved with our latest releases (by the same token, is it at all possible that a caching solution means even if you are on the latest versions that older code is still being served)?
Thanks!

ParticipantNo new thread. Latest plugin, latest WP.

MemberHi again Jen,
So I think the heart of the problem is that the select element isn’t ‘wired up’ as you might expect, but the list of views is (though you’ve hidden that with a rule targeting .tribe-bar-views-list in your stylesheet).
I’ll report this for the attention of the dev team, but in the short term it might be the case that you need to hide the select element instead (and then show ul.tribe-bar-views-list and allow users to select from that instead).

ParticipantHi Barry, yes that’s what I thought but I would rather use the select if possible.
Thanks for forwarding it on.August 13, 2013 at 5:59 am #60134Barry
MemberSure – I’m mindful though that you need to go live this week – and I just wanted you to know that realistically it may not be fixed until our next maintenance release is issued.

ParticipantYeah I realise that. I can do a fix for the time being but I’d like to be able to revert back eventually.

MemberAbsolutely – it has been reported and a dev has been assigned, it’s just that we are not likely to be able to turn it around quickly enough to meet your immediate deadline.

ParticipantHi, Jen. This is just a note to let you know that as much as we were trying to, we didn’t get a your issue resolved in time for our maintenance release this time around. 🙁
While it’s possible we may have inadvertently fixed it in addressing another issue and welcome your feedback to confirm or deny this once you’ve updated, we want to set your expectations.
Rest assured getting this resolved is still a priority for us. We look forward to addressing this as soon as we’ve got bandwidth/resources to allow it.
Thanks for being part of the TEC community!

MemberHi! We’ve now completed some work that ought to address this issue in our very next upcoming release. Thanks for your patience and if you do hit any further problems with this once you’ve updated please don’t hesitate to let us know in a new thread – thanks!
